Since Rooster Teeth just celebrated its 14th birthday (Happy Birthday Rooster Teeth) I felt like it would be cool for me to go back and see how my interaction with Rooster Teeth has progressed over the years because of how big a part it has played in my life.
November 2009: I watched Gus show where all the treasures are in Uncharted 2. (My very first Rooster Teeth video ever)
-------> After watching that video I saw RvB season 6 in recommended and watched all of season 6 that was out in one night (It was a good season to start because it was right after Blood Gulch)
2009-2010: I continued to watch RvB and achievement videos as they came out. Even for games I didn't own just because I thought everyone was great.
January 2011: LtMKilla (Michael Jones) released his first Rage Quit video for Rooster Teeth when the community got content on the main channel. I began watching these religiously.
December 2011: The very first Rooster Teeth Lets Play (Saints Row 3) came out and I watched it the day it came out and loved it
July 2012- Apr. 2013: This was the hardest time in my life. I lost my Grandma, I sank into a pit of depression and suicidal thoughts, I had virtually nothing to make me happy in my life, except Rooster Teeth. AH and RvB were the light in all the darkness in my life and helped me through it all with the laughter it provided.
February 2013: One if not my favorite Let's play was released. I have easily watched this Let's Play 10+ times because it makes me laugh every time. That Let's Play is Minecraft ep. 37: Clouds. "GAVIN WINS IT FOR RAY!"
September 1st 2013: Rooster Teeth releases Game Time with Bernie and Gavin talking about how Gavin was a fan long before working at Rooster Teeth. This inspired me to finally make an account on the site.
September 6th 2013: I finally joined the RT website and it was a great decision. My first post was on the "Introductions" page and the very first person who was my friend was @Mochrome
Sep. - Nov. 2013: I became a part of the community and started talking on all the forums. I also started greeting people on Introductions....so much confetti
Oct (or Nov) 2013: I posted my first post in "Let's Be Friends" or LBF which became my home on the site. I may not talk to many of the people from this forum anymore, but they still all hold a very dear place in my heart.
Nov 2013 - 2015: I played a pretty active role in the community for this time and I made so many wonderful friends that I still cherish even though I don't talk to them really anymore. Eventually I stopped coming to the site as much because my depression returned in really bad swing and I had no motivation to do anything or have any human interaction.
2016: I tried to return to the site to once again be pulled away by life. I still feel bad about leaving.
Now: I have returned. Although I don't post as frequently as I once did I still love this place.
2013 - Now: I keep myself updated on everything Rooster Teeth at all times and I still love it just as much as I did when I found it all the way back in 2009.
In Conclusion: I love this place. I love this community. I love these people. Everything about Rooster Teeth has made my life all the better and I couldn't imagine life without it. I wouldn't be the same as I am today without Rooster Teeth in my life. It is honestly weird to look back at how far my love of Rooster Teeth goes.
(P.S.: I definitely teared up when going through the forums from 3+ years ago and seeing everyone I remember talking on them)
I would love to hear everyone else's story with how they got into Rooster Teeth and how Rooster Teeth affected them through the years. I'm sure you all have great stories.
